Scammers Pose as Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

Pretending to be Carabinieri, they call hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, fire brigades, or the Comune police.

How to Recognize Scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement authorities.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the genuine Carabinieri – just dial 112 – as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by someone who,
