Scammers Pose as Carabinieri, Targeting Garda Region Businesses

They masquerade as Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda regions, offering subscriptions to magazines related to the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal guards.

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.
