Searches in the woods of Gardone Riviera: mushroom picker from Manerba found safe and sound
A 59-year-old mushroom picker from Manerba was found safe and sound around midnight last night, Sunday, September 14, 2025, after going missing in the woods above Gardone Riviera. The man had gone hiking in the afternoon and did not return, prompting immediate search operations.
The search efforts were conducted by the Firefighters, Carabinieri, Alpine Rescue, and 118 emergency services, with the assistance of a helicopter from the Guardia di Finanza. After hours of intense activity in the woods of San Michele, the mushroom picker was finally located and secured, bringing an end to a worrying situation that involved numerous rescuers.
