A new funding announcement has been made in Lombardy for the safety of power lines, aimed at protecting local birdlife and preventing bird collisions. Starting from September 26, 2025, public entities such as municipalities, provinces, and parks can apply for funding of up to €300,000 for projects designed to reduce the risk of electrocution and enhance the ecological connectivity of wildlife. The total financial allocation for this initiative amounts to €5 million, covering 100% of eligible expenses according to European regulations.
