Security checks in Desenzano del Garda: public order reinforced
Days of security checks took place in Desenzano del Garda, organized by the Chief of Police of the Province of Brescia, Paolo Sartori, to ensure public order. The operations primarily focused on the areas around the train station and along the lakeside, with five checkpoints established along the main roadways. On Monday, October 21, officers from the Public Security Police Station arrested a 36-year-old Romanian woman, already known to law enforcement, following a violent assault in a bar on Via Marconi. The woman threatened and attacked the intervening police officers, forcing them to restrain her. During the operations, 178 individuals were checked, including 61 foreigners and 49 with criminal records. Two Mandatory Removal Orders were issued against individuals lacking justified reasons to be in the municipal territory, and three Expulsion Decrees were issued for irregular non-EU citizens. The Chief of Police emphasized the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and local authorities to strengthen the enforcement of legality and ensure a visible presence in the area.
