On **March 4, 2025**, the **Guardia di Finanza of Brescia** conducted a significant operation, seizing over **350,000 carnival items** that did not comply with product safety regulations. The inspections, carried out in preparation for the Carnival celebrations of 2025, involved five commercial establishments in the province. Among the confiscated items were clothing, jewelry, and toys, all lacking the necessary information in Italian regarding origin, type, and materials used, as well as missing instructions and safety precautions for use.
The identified violations resulted in administrative fines ranging from **€2,500 to €130,000**, in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Code. This operation underscores the authorities’ commitment to ensuring consumer safety and combating the sale of non-compliant products in the local market.
