Seizure of massage centers in Desenzano del Garda for illegal citizenship income
Three massage centers located in Desenzano del Garda have been seized following a joint operation by the Administrative Police Division of the Brescia Police Headquarters and the local Guardia di Finanza Company. During the inspections, six women working as masseuses were identified, two of whom were employed illegally and one was found to be irregular in the country. Investigations revealed an activity of prostitution exploitation, with services offered to clients in exchange for cash. The owner of the centers emerged as a recipient of the citizenship income, despite having earned over 400,000 euros in undeclared income between 2020 and 2023.
The man has been reported for the improper receipt of benefits, having failed to declare his earnings and ownership of bank accounts. During the operation, law enforcement seized 11,000 euros in cash, a vehicle, and additional sums in banknotes. Three more irregular workers were discovered, along with unsanitary conditions that did not comply with current regulations within the premises, which included a dormitory and a break room. “This is only the first phase of a targeted control action aimed at identifying hidden forms of prostitution,” stated Brescia Police Chief Paolo Sartori, emphasizing that such activities will not be tolerated.
