The Lions Club of Sirmione has launched an important initiative for swimming safety, presenting an informational guide dedicated to swimmers. The event took place on Friday afternoon at the “Dogana” Hotel in Sirmione, with the participation of the new Governor of the Lions district, Daniela Rossi, and the Club’s president, Lorena Fontana. Thanks to the collaboration with the Consortium of Hoteliers and Restaurateurs of Sirmione, the Municipality, and other local associations, 30,000 brochures translated into three languages by the Coast Guard of Salò were distributed.
During the presentation, Mayor Luisa Lavelli emphasized the importance of greater awareness among swimmers regarding the unique characteristics of the lake. Additionally, Marco Merlo, a representative of the hoteliers, expressed hope that other associations from the surrounding Garda areas would join this initiative. The deputy commander of the Coast Guard highlighted the ongoing commitment of the municipalities to ensure safety in the water, while Matias Banfi from Civil Protection assured continuous collaboration with maritime authorities.
