Sirmione: Street Vendor Caught with Fake Rolex and Cartier Watches, Facing Charges Recently, a man in his 40s, an Asian citizen residing in the Brescia area, was reported by the Local Police for selling counterfeit watches in violation of the municipal ordinance that prohibits street trading. The individual was observed offering various items to tourists between the historic center and a beach on the peninsula. Officers, already alerted to monitor compliance with the ban on itinerant trading in specific areas, spotted him at Porto Galeazzi.
During the inspection, it was discovered that the man was selling watches from renowned brands such as Rolex and Cartier, all of which were found to be counterfeit. A total of nine well-crafted but fake watches were seized. The man received an administrative fine for violating the municipal ordinance and was charged with the sale of counterfeit goods; the confiscated merchandise will be subject to confiscation and subsequent destruction.
