Sirmione Book Club: cultural events and shared reading
The evening meetings of the Sirmione Book Club Classic are resuming, marking the beginning of its fifth year of activity with discussions centered on the great classics of literature. The first gathering is scheduled for September 19 at 8:45 PM at the Municipal Library, where participants will come together to discuss C.E. Gadda’s book, “Quer pasticciaccio brutto de Via Merulana.” Every third Friday of the month until June 2026, the group will provide anyone who loves reading with the opportunity to share thoughts and opinions on the selected volumes.
In addition to the reading sessions, cultural events and author meetings are planned throughout the year, open to the entire community. As highlighted by Roberto Salaorni, a City Councilor with a mandate for culture, these events represent a valuable opportunity to promote reading as an integral part of the Sirmione community. Alongside the classic group, there are other initiatives available, such as the Book Club KIDS and the English Café, making cultural activities accessible to a diverse audience.
