Sirmione Celebrates Republic Day With Local Youth and Constitutional Values

Sirmione marks Republic Day with a youth-focused ceremony at the town’s school complex, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic. The event was attended by Mayor Luisa Lavelli, the municipal administration, the Council of Girls and Boys, the Carabinieri, military associations, and many residents, with performances by students from the Sirmione School of Music.

Organizers stressed the value of participation and the vote, referencing June 2, 1946, and the Constitution as tools of rights, duties, and responsibilities. A copy of the Italian Constitution was presented to the youth as a symbolic link to civic education and the formation of future citizens.
