Sirmione Hosts Gender Equality Conference Featuring Professor Banno This Friday

A gender equality conference titled “From Barbie to Oppenheimer: Women, Social Stereotypes, and Science” will be held this Friday at 8:45 PM in Sirmione, organized by the local municipality and library with support from the Lions Club Sirmione. The event will feature university professor Mariasole Bannò, an expert in diversity and inclusion with over 20 years of experience and more than 100 scientific publications.

Bannò will lead an interactive discussion examining cultural representations, gender stereotypes, and rights, exploring the relationship between language, power, and recognition. The Lions Club Sirmione, represented by President Maria Carmela Iacono, emphasizes the importance of promoting equal opportunities in careers through this initiative.
