Sirmione Implements Seasonal Traffic Control with ZTL from March 23 to October 13

Sirmione’s 2026 summer season officially begins with the activation of the seasonal ZTL from March 23 to October 13. The local administration has introduced a new traffic flow management plan to ensure safety, quality of hospitality, and livability in the historic center, including 31 pedestrianization days from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and designated emergency corridors. Resident, worker, and business permits are being distributed starting March 16, and a technical test with retractable barriers and an electric ambulance simulation is scheduled for March 26, followed by a public meeting on March 27 at Palazzo Callas.

Operational measures also include mandatory parking reservations for tourist buses at Monte Baldo, restrictions at Bagnera during holidays, and expanded resident parking from 62 to 87 spaces. Additional safety provisions feature two ambulances coordinated with 112, available weekends and holidays from April 4 to September 27, and designated areas for disabled and hotel guests. During pedestrian days, parking permits are valid at Piazzale Porto and Viale Marconi from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., with certain bicycle restrictions in the historic center.
