Sirmione is preparing for the tourist season by implementing two important technological innovations: an AI-based Chatbot on the tourism portal visitsirmione.com and Urban Genius, a tool for monitoring flows derived from the analysis of the mobile network.

A smart city uses technology and data to improve the lives of its residents and visitors. These tools can be used in various ways, such as managing traffic more efficiently, reducing pollution, improving safety, and providing accurate information.

With the introduction of the AI-based Chatbot, Sirmione strengthens the dialogue between the tourist destination, operators, and tourists. This system, optimized to answer visitors’ questions in 80 languages, is already active on visitsirmione.com and can be accessed by clicking on the blue icon at the bottom right of each page of the website.

The Chatbot allows hoteliers and merchants to be even more comprehensive and welcoming to their customers. The ability to intercept and analyze the questions posed to the Chatbot allows for the continuous improvement of listening and welcoming capabilities through the implementation of new services, information, and improvements.

The other tool introduced is Urban Genius, a system for analyzing and monitoring data from the mobile network. This system provides information on the number of visitors to the area, with the ability to monitor movements and conduct analytical surveys on age groups, gender, and nationality.

Sirmione has been characterized for years by its willingness to embrace the technological challenges of contemporary tourism with a strong innovative orientation. With 1,377,790 stays in 2023 (source: tourist tax), 946,000 visits to the visitsirmione.com portal, and 15,241 visits to the infopoint, Sirmione confirms itself as a destination of strong tourist interest with visitors from over 40 countries worldwide.
