A 23-year-old woman was rescued after jumping into the lake in Sirmione, near the historic center, on Thursday, October 18. The girl had previously approached the guardhouse of the Scaligero Castle in a visibly agitated state before plunging into the water. Fortunately, some passersby noticed the situation and reported it.

Claudio Artioli, an employee of Sirmione Servizi, immediately dove in to rescue her, assisted by a fisherman and a restaurateur who were present at the scene. After being retrieved, the girl was handed over to the medical staff of the Red Cross and subsequently transferred to the hospital in Desenzano for medical checks.
