Six-Legged Marathon in Riva del Garda Backed by Trentino Lions Clubs
The Six-Legged Marathon will take place on Sunday, April 26, in Riva, organized by the Lions Club of Trentino in collaboration with Apt Garda Dolomiti and under the patronage of the Municipality. All proceeds will be donated to the Lions Club Limbiate’s guide-dog service, which trains and provides guide dogs to visually impaired people at no cost; the service recently lost its president, Giovanni Fossati. The event underscores the commitment of local clubs to supporting this service and promoting public fundraising.
Now in its fourth edition, the six-kilometer course starts from Piazza Garibaldi. Registrations and credentialing open at 9:30, the start is at 11:00, and the awards ceremony is scheduled for 12:30. The morning program includes talks on the Lions’ eight international causes—childhood cancer, diabetes, environment, hunger, sight, disaster relief, youth, and humanitarian works. Participation is by voluntary donation, and on-site registrations are available on the day of the event.
