Slow Food Presidi Gastronomic Events Resume Across Italy

Gastronomic events featuring products from the «slow food presidi» make a return. The first will take place at Capriccio in Manerba del Garda. Starting tomorrow, the finest products from the presidi will be served again in select restaurant locations across the peninsula. The first event, as mentioned, will be held tomorrow in Manerba, at the restaurant situated in Piazza San Bernardo in Località Montinelle, (reservations at tel. 0365.551124). The evening begins with an aperitif paired with Berlucchi Cortefranca Couvée Imperiale Brut, followed by Mediterranean amberjack carpaccio with citrus jam from the Gargano Park, served with Cellarius Berlucchi Brut Riserva Speciale. Then, attendees will enjoy spaghetti with veraci clams and porcini mushrooms, accompanied by Chardonnay 2000 “Cantine Rallo, Marsala”. The second course features flavorful Alpago lamb with florello polenta, paired with a Merlot DOC 1999 “Cantine Rallo, Marsala”. Next is the rich cheese platter from the presidi: ricotta, pecorino, and chestnut honey from the Pistoia Mountains. Pecorino dei Monti Sibillini, Asiago Stravecchio di malga, Robiola di Roccaverano classic. The entire course will be complemented by Marsala Vergine aged 12 years. Finally, a pink apple tart from the Monti Sibillini, spiced and served with rum cream gelato Barbancourt, along with Moscato Passito and a selection of Montanaro grappas. Upcoming dinners will be held on November 15 in Emilia Romagna, at the La Frasca restaurant in Castrocaro Terme (Forlì-Cesena), and in Piedmont, at the Flipot restaurant in Torre Pollice (Turin).
