Solferino Reaffirms Support for Colline Moreniche Headquarters in New Municipal Office

“We absolutely did not deprive the Associazione Colline Moreniche of a premises in the municipal offices: the council has already approved a solution that was agreed upon a few days ago with the association’s president, Rita Farina.” The public works counselor of the municipality of Solferino, Germano Bignotti, responds to the statements made at the last association meeting and reported in the press by a member of the board. “I spoke today,” – explains Bignotti – “the association’s president, who confirmed to me that she had not been consulted by the Colline Moreniche councillors on this matter. She confirmed her satisfaction with the proposal we made, which is to provide a headquarters in the premises currently occupied by the municipal technical office, and she will support this at the council.” The counselor denies any intention on the part of the Solferino administration to move the Colline Moreniche headquarters: “The premises currently housing the association are vital for the municipality’s functionality and to provide Solferino citizens with proper access to the town hall,” – explained the counselor – “however, it is our firm intention to continue hosting Colline Moreniche, possibly in an even better way than now, considering it is a deserving organization. Since the first proposed solution was not deemed suitable, the mayor explained the new, seemingly improved proposal to President Farina: we will also provide a photocopier and make the council chamber available for meetings.”
