Artur Vaso, a teacher at the Caterina de’ Medici hospitality institute in Gardone Riviera, has achieved a prestigious second place at the Best Sommelier in Italy competition, held over the weekend at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence. Originally from Botticino, Vaso previously won the title of Best Sommelier in Lombardy in 2017 and placed third nationally in 2022. This new achievement brings him closer to his ambition of reaching the top of the podium, a goal he intends to pursue in the next edition of the competition.
Upon his return to the classroom, students welcomed their teacher with enthusiasm, giving him a warm round of applause for his success. The institute continues to serve as an important reference point for professional training in the region, contributing to the development of talent in the fields of sommelier and food and wine culture.
