The Municipality of Gardone Riviera, in collaboration with the Comunità del Garda, is organizing the event “Sounds and Flavors of Garda”, a mini festival that will take place at Palazzo Wimmer (formerly the Casino) on Saturday, May 11th at 5:30 pm. The event is designed to involve the public in a unique experience, featuring music and typical gastronomy of the area.

The second event of this festival will be the concert titled “Behind the Wall”, featuring the Infonote Pop Ensemble accompanied by the voice of Elena Giardina. The vocal quartet Archimia string quartet, composed of Serafino Tedesi and Paolo Costanzo on violins, Matteo del Soldà on viola, and Andrea Anzalone on cello, will perform together with Marcello Salcuni on guitar, Carmelo Isgrò on bass, Rino Di Pace on drums, and Alessandro Zezza on keyboards.

Admission to the event is free until seats are full, and it is an unmissable opportunity to enjoy an intimate and refined concert that will revisit famous pop melodies in a personal way.

The main theme of the event is the denunciation of violence against women. The concert aims to break down the walls of silence and fear of reporting, highlighting the different forms of violence that women experience daily. The song “Behind the Wall” by Tracy Chapman, written in 1988, will be the guiding thread of the concert and will represent an important message of awareness.

Elena Giardina is a singer from Bologna, born in 1996, influenced by blues, jazz, soul, and Italian popular music from the 1960s. Coming from a musical background, she has collaborated with numerous Italian artists such as Biagio Antonacci, Laura Pausini, and Celso Valli.

Infonote Pop Ensemble is a group of eclectic musicians who have collaborated with important Italian artists such as Renato Zero, Fiorella Mannoia, and Marco Mengoni. The Archimia string quartet is a string quartet formed in 2001 that has performed in the most prestigious European and American festivals.

The Comunità del Garda contributes to the realization and organization of the event, overseeing institutional and administrative coordination.
