Sounds and Flavors of Lake Garda: Double Header in Gardone Riviera and Rivoltella

The “Suoni e Sapori del Garda” Festival will host two free concerts as part of its 14th edition, on Wednesday 12 August 2026 at 9:15 pm at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gardone Riviera and on Friday 14 August at 9:15 pm in the cloister of San Biagio Church in Rivoltella, Desenzano del Garda. Both events will explore different musical languages linked to collective memory, culture and history.

On 12 August, “Hayren – Frammenti di musica armena” will feature Maurizio Redegoso Kharitian on viola and Antonio Sernia on the Persian tar. The programme draws on the Nor Arax project, started by Kharitian after a 2007 trip to Armenia to trace his maternal origins, and is built as a dialogue between sacred music elements, popular tradition, oriental melodies and rhythms connected to sacred dances and movements, including references to Padre Komitas and G. I. Gurdjieff.

On 14 August, the Infonote Ensemble will present “La Repubblica si racconta – 80 anni in musica” at the San Biagio cloister, celebrating 80 years of the Italian Republic through songs that evoke different eras and social changes. The lineup includes Serafino Tedesi (violin), Francesco Lazzari (keyboards), Andrea Anzalone (cello) and the voices of Elena Ravelli and Matteo Simioni, covering themes from love to social issues, marginalisation and political satire. Entry is free for both concerts until seats are filled.
