Spectacular Parkland Birthday Celebration at Parco Giardino Sigurtà

Fifty-six hectares of parkland available to celebrate a captivating, spectacular, and participatory “Birthday Party”. It happened last night (Monday, July 3) in the magnificent Parco Giardino Sigurtà in Valeggio sul Mincio.

The honorees, who were celebrating their birthdays, were Jerry Calà, Umberto Smaila, the stars of the evening, and Giuseppe Sigurtà, owner of the park. A mesmerizing celebration given the environment where it took place and, spectacular for the number and quality of both the birthday celebrants and the over 500 guests who attended, including many figures from the entertainment world. Starting with Giovanni Rana, who has now earned a rightful spot thanks to his “advertising caravans” (besides for his tortellini, present and featured during the event, even though held in Valeggio—the hometown of tortellini), among national personalities.

Guests and organization of the party

Among others we noticed Diego, Rosita Celentano, Marcella and Gianni Bella, Elisabetta Ferracini, Fabio Testi, Valerio Merola, Nini Salerno, Gigi Sammarchi, Edo “Il Velino”, Puccio Gallo, Bruno Abate, Pierantonio Ambrosi, and others. The responsibility, carried out very effectively, for organizing the grand buffet was entrusted to one of Brescia’s most prestigious venues: Sosta di Brescia.

Striking images included the long avenue along the central back of the park, illuminated by hundreds of torches, with the large and majestic Valeggio castle in the background also lit up. Among the crowd, jugglers, fire eaters, and at the end, after the traditional cutting of three giant personalized cakes, a fireworks show as rarely seen, lighting up the sky above for about 15 minutes. The clouds threatened rain but, respectful of the celebration, the show was reserved from the rain that fell only a few hundred meters away from the park.

The show and music

Finally, live music, lasting until dawn, performed by a band that will accompany Umberto Smaila throughout July at his club in Costa Smeralda. Everyone took the stage, from Jerry Calà to Smaila himself, including Marcella Bella, who was practically dragged onto the stage.

The oldest of the celebrants? Umberto Smaila, at 50 years old, followed by Jerry Calà at 49.
