The Unique Tourism Office of Tignale has launched a series of spiritual excursions to explore the Sanctuary of Montecastello, recently designated as a jubilee church by the Diocese of Brescia. The excursions, taking place every Sunday from February 16 until the end of March, will offer participants the opportunity to receive indulgence in celebration of the Jubilee Year 2025. Pilgrims will be guided by experts on a walk that includes breathtaking views and significant historical sites.
The meeting point is set for 9 AM at the forecourt of the Lombard church of San Pietro in Gardola, followed by a visit to the parish of S. Maria Assunta and a tour of the village before ascending to the Sanctuary and Monte Cas. The itinerary covers a total distance of 8 km with an elevation gain of 250 meters, requiring a participation fee of 10 euros, which is free for residents and holders of the Tignale Card.
