The Corda Molle, the 29-kilometer highway stretch connecting Montichiari to Ospitaletto, is nearing a potential toll activation, raising concerns among residents. Despite protests from mayors and pressures from local associations, Infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini emphasized during the Wine Fair in Polpenazze the importance of reducing or eliminating costs for citizens. Welcomed by Mayor Mariarosa Avanzini, Salvini stated that negotiations are underway with various stakeholders to find solutions that can alleviate the economic burden on residents.
In addition to the issue of traffic along the Corda Molle, Salvini also addressed traffic problems in the Alto Garda area, announcing evaluations on a project aimed at improving the situation from Gargnano to Riva. The increasing tourist influx during the summer months continues to complicate traffic in the region, making the implementation of effective measures urgent to ensure a smooth and sustainable connection.
