An episode of violence shook Castiglione delle Stiviere over the weekend, culminating in a stabbing that occurred during the night of December 14th to 15th. Shortly after 1 a.m., the carabinieri were called to Via Raffaello to quell a dispute between two Moroccan men, both visibly intoxicated. The situation escalated when one of them pulled out a knife, seriously injuring his compatriot. The 30-year-old victim was transported to Desenzano Hospital in non-critical condition, while the other man was taken to Castiglione Hospital for further examination.
The evening did not end there: the military intervened again in Piubega and Canneto sull’Oglio to manage other brawls involving pairs of Moroccan individuals who were also drunk. In these instances, none of those involved accepted the hospitalization offered by the emergency services. Law enforcement continues to monitor the situation in the area to prevent further similar incidents.
