Recently, Gavardo Hospital has caught the attention of the La Roccia Committee, which presented proposals to address the staff shortage during the Assembly of Mayors of Areas 11 and 12 held in Salò on May 5th. Roberta Caldera, president of the committee, emphasized the urgency of making the facility more attractive to healthcare personnel, highlighting how the services provided are deteriorating due to the lack of operators. The committee is calling on mayors and the management of ASST for concrete measures, such as discussion tables to secure funding and economic incentives for those who choose to work at the hospital.
The requests also include organizing assemblies dedicated to discussing the hospital’s situation and proposing higher salaries for physicians in shortage specialties. Additionally, it has been suggested to explore the possibility of providing temporary housing for hospital staff through municipal agreements. These initiatives aim to ensure a sustainable future for the hospital, which is essential for a vast residential and tourist area surrounding it.
