A young student has raised significant questions regarding the State Exam reform during the visit of the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, to Desenzano. The meeting, which took place on Monday, November 3, coincided with the inauguration of the new middle school “Valerio Catullo” and was attended by numerous local administrators and representatives. Enrico Casson, 18 years old and a student at Liceo Bagatta, displayed provocative signs questioning the recent changes introduced by the “Maturity Decree 2026,” including the requirement to take an oral exam in four subjects and the reduction of exam committees. The reform has raised concerns among students, who are seeking clarity on how the exam will be conducted. Among the new features, there is a highlighted risk of failing for those who do not participate in the oral exam and the introduction of bonuses for those achieving certain grade averages. Enrico’s peaceful protest reflects the widespread discontent among graduating students, who are eager for certainty about the future of their education. Italian Version
