Stefano Cigarini has been appointed as the Divisional Director of Merlin for Gardaland and the CEO of Gardaland Resort, effective March 1, 2025. With extensive experience in the industry, Cigarini has held prominent roles, including CEO of the Cinecittà World park and Senior Vice President of Entertainment and Events at Ferrari. His career also includes leadership positions in theme parks across various countries, as well as significant roles at Universal Studios and Sony BMG Music Company.
Gardaland has expressed enthusiasm for Cigarini’s arrival, highlighting the value he will bring during the park’s 50th anniversary. Additionally, the work of Sabrina de Carvalho as CEO has been recognized, as she has now been promoted to Regional Managing Director UK within the Merlin group. Cigarini, who holds a degree in Music and Performing Arts from the University of Bologna and a Master’s in Marketing and Communication from Mediaset, represents a key figure for the future of the amusement park.
