Storm in Riva del Garda: Cyclist Hurt in Fall, Rescued From Rocks

A woman was injured after a bicycle crash in Riva del Garda early Sunday morning, around 00:05, when she fell onto the rocks along the cycle-pedestrian path beside state road 240 between Riva del Garda and Torbole. According to authorities, the accident was linked to severe weather conditions, which led her to leave the edge of the path and end up on the rocks below.

An acquaintance climbed down to reach her and alerted emergency services by calling 112. Responders included an ambulance from Trentino Emergenza, firefighters from the Riva del Garda station, and a State Police unit. Firefighters lowered a paramedic about eight metres to provide first aid, then used ropes and specialized equipment to secure the area and retrieve the injured cyclist, who was taken to the road surface and handed over to medical staff for transport to the emergency department; her condition was not disclosed.
