StraPuegnago 2023 in Puegnago Sets Attendance Record with 700 Participants
The second edition of StraPuegnago, held on June 14 in Puegnago, served as the fifth leg of the Grand Prix Felter Costantino on the FIDAL calendar. The 9.9 km race sold out with 410 entrants, while non-competitive events and walks (4 km and 9.9 km) drew over 700 participants. The event also launched the Costantino Felter scholarship, with proceeds benefiting Unipancreas. Mihail Sirbu won the men’s race in a course-record 31:57, and Angela Girelli claimed the women’s title in 40:58.
In the men’s podium, Stefano Goffi (32:39) of Polisportiva Vighenzi Padenghe finished second, ahead of Davide Bottarelli (33:58) of GS Orobie; further down the line were Davide Angilella (34:18, Vanotti Running) and Riccardo Montresor (34:58, Insieme Verona). On the women’s side, Marisa Bertoli (41:13) and Silvia Casella (42:05) completed the top positions, followed by Stefania Cotti Cottini (43:19) and Maria Grazia Roberti (44:40). Atletica Gavardo 90 won the team ranking, ahead of Polisportiva Vighenzi Padenghe and Libertas Vallesabbia. The circuit moves to Serle on Sunday 21 and to Villanuova sul Clisi on Friday 7 August for the Quattro passi in Riva al Chiese stage.
