Summer Open-Air Cinema and Theater Series Launch at Castello Park

With the start of the two main summer months, cinema and theater under the stars return. The fifth summer edition of open-air cinema will resume on Monday at the Castello Park, at 9 p.m. As usual, every Monday in July and August, both cinema enthusiasts and guests and residents will have the opportunity to watch the most popular and award-winning screenings of the entire winter season. And so, “Se Scappi Ti Sposo” (If You Run Away, I’ll Marry You) will inaugurate a series of nine screenings of various genres, from cartoons to science fiction films, comedies, and epic genres.

But if Mondays are dedicated to film lovers, every Thursday evening, the same Castello Park will host the third edition of “Il Teatro al Chiaro di Luna” (The Theater in the Moonlight). “This year too,” explained culture councilor Daniela Peroni, “we are repeating, in addition to the successful film series, the theatrical one as well. Ten evenings featuring performances by nine different companies, all at the regional level.”

The outdoor cinema will cost only eight thousand lire, the same as last year, while the Thursday evening theatrical performances will cost ten thousand lire. (g.m.)
