On Monday afternoon, the carabinieri of the Operational and Mobile Radio Unit of the Desenzano del Garda Company arrested a woman for robbery inside a supermarket located in the commercial area of the city. The woman had stolen several bottles of spirits and, in an attempt to leave without paying, was stopped by the security staff. Instead of cooperating, she reacted violently, pushing an employee as she tried to escape.
Thanks to the prompt intervention of the Carabinieri patrol, which had been alerted by the Operations Center, the suspect was apprehended a short distance away and taken to the station for necessary checks. The stolen goods were returned to the supermarket. The arrested individual, already known to law enforcement and subject to a preventive measure, will remain in the security cells awaiting a direct trial.
