Two Romanian citizens, aged 42, were arrested in Manerba following a brief chase, accused of aggravated theft in concert and receiving stolen goods. The operation, conducted by the Local Police of Valtenesi, took place on Saturday evening when officers noticed the two men exiting the Aldi supermarket in Moniga with suspicious behavior. After attempting to flee by entering a roundabout in the wrong direction, they were apprehended along Provincial Road 572.
During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered stolen goods valued at over 600 euros, as well as additional products worth approximately 1,000 euros, the origin of which could not be justified. The items were seized for further investigation into their provenance. The two men, one of whom has a criminal record, were processed in a fast-track court on Monday morning, where their arrest was validated pending trial.
