Sustainable regatta and ecological walk at Garda

On Sunday, October 19, the Garda Green Cup will take place in Garda, an event dedicated to sustainable sailing aimed at raising community awareness about the importance of sustainable development. The event features a 12-mile race and a 5-mile sailing event, both coordinated by certified judges from the Italian Sailing Federation. The starts are scheduled for 8:30 and 8:40 AM, respectively. Those not participating in the competitions will have the opportunity to join an eco-walk organized by the Plastic Free association, meeting at 10 AM at the headquarters of the Italian Naval League. The cleanup walk is an initiative inviting participants to collect plastic along the lakeside, thus contributing to environmental protection. Participants in the races will gather for a communal lunch at 1 PM, followed by the awards ceremony for the winners at 3 PM. This event serves as a call to collective action towards a more sustainable future, engaging families and enthusiasts in both sporting activities and environmental awareness efforts. Italian Version
