Symbol&Symbol 2000: Ferrari, Riva, Tornado Showcase & Lake Garda Events
Undoubtedly the most important event of the year 2000 for Lake Garda will be the exhibition, “Symbol&Symbol”, scheduled for July 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. An event that will remain a fixed milestone in the annals of automotive, nautical, and aviation history because, for the first time, Ferrari, Riva, and Tornado will all be showcased together.
It will not be a static exhibition held inside closed spaces, but rather a tangible and physical presence (not too much!) of the legendary Maranello Reds, today more than ever cherished by Italians, along with the timeless boats, both those of today and those in wood crafted in past years by the master craftsmen of Riva di Sarnico. Even today, these boats are true objects of desire for many enthusiasts captivated by the creativity of the great Masters of the past.
Acquisitions and Projections
The Riva Yard has recently been acquired by the prestigious shipyard Ferretti, already owner of the Bertram brand. As for the Tornado, obviously, it will not be possible—due to technical reasons—to have them on display along the shores of Garda. However, there will be areas near the Palazzo del Turismo di Desenzano where visitors can watch official videos and footage, displayed on large screens, of the “Tornado of the 6th Stormo”.
In the skies over Lake Garda, the “Learjet 35” aircraft from Aliven will perform spectacular aerobatic maneuvers. In recent days, the organizers of the Garda Riva Club, led by President Mario Gavanna and the tireless Curzio Moretti, have been finalizing the details of the very dense program.
Program and Entertainment
Throughout the event, exhibitions will take place both on water and land. At the Porto Vecchio in Desenzano, Piazza Malvezzi, and Sirmione, Riva boats and Ferraris will be displayed for several hours at the port and in front of the castle of Scaligeria.
On Saturday 22nd, a gala evening will be held at one of the largest and most beautiful private parks in Italy and Europe: Il Giardino Sigurtà. Unrepeatable scenes and moments will be presented in a naturalistic scenography that is sure to attract attention from both local residents and, especially, tourists.
There will be toasts and aperitifs with Lugana DOC, one of Italy’s finest white wines, appreciated worldwide, paired with tasty Grana Padano cheese tastings. Moreover, the social event will take place in the night entertainment hub, the Sesto Senso club in Desenzano, one of Italy’s top venues for nightlife, which will host distinguished guests.
In short, “Symbol&Symbol” will be one of those unmissable events that will not only be memorable but also impossible to forget!
