Tanker truck fire in Alto Garda: firefighters intervention
Alto Garda: A Tanker Truck Catches Fire in the Pregasina Tunnel, Major Firefighter Intervention This morning, along Provincial Road 234, a fire broke out involving a tanker truck carrying LPG gas while it was passing through the Pregasina tunnel heading towards Ledro. The alert was promptly raised, leading to the suspension of traffic to ensure the safety of all passersby. Firefighters from Riva del Garda, along with those from Molina di Ledro and Concei, responded swiftly; thanks to their rapid action, the flames were contained without causing explosions or further damage.
To tackle the fire, three fire engines, a small water tanker, and a rescue vehicle were deployed, with a total of twenty-five firefighters active for about an hour. The operation not only extinguished the flames but also secured the surrounding area. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported among the drivers or the rescuers involved in the intervention.
