The TAV viaduct in Montonale, located near Desenzano, is currently nearing completion and promises to transform the traffic in the area. Until December 5, access for vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians is prohibited in the section between Venga Bertani and Grattarola, where a new roundabout and ramp completions are underway. The works are being carried out by Midal srl and Sias spa, under the supervision of Cepav due. It is possible that the closure order may be extended due to adverse weather conditions or other issues.
The closure of the overpass will have a significant impact on traffic for residents and commuters, limiting access to local traffic. Alternative routes have been established to cross the A4 motorway. The viaduct spans over 400 meters, making it one of the most impressive structures in the Brescia network. Alongside the works on the viaduct, interventions are continuing along the 48 km stretch from Mazzano to Verona, with recent updates on the overpasses and the laying of tracks scheduled for spring.
