The Alpini of San Felice del Benaco enthusiastically celebrated the 92nd birthday of Danilo Saletti, the group’s elder, in a day dedicated to festivity and community. Born on December 30, 1932, Saletti is a historic figure for the Alpini, having begun his service in May 1953 at the CAR “Cesare Battisti” in Merano. His military career took him to Dobbiaco, where he completed his training as a radio telegrapher, demonstrating commitment and dedication to Alpine values from a young age.
During the celebrations, the leader of the Alpini of San Felice del Benaco, Bortolo (Dino) Capello, expressed his admiration for Saletti, emphasizing the importance of his role as an inspiration for all group members. “Danilo is not just a point of reference for us,” Capello stated, “but he also represents a living example of solidarity and love for our territory.” The celebration concluded with warm wishes for a special birthday, acknowledging the moral legacy that Saletti continues to pass on to the community.
