The Valvestino dam has brought to light the ancient customs house of Lignago, an event that occurs during the periodic maintenance drainings of the artificial reservoir, managed by Enel. The ruins, visible from the provincial road three kilometers past the dam wall, attract visitors eager to uncover the history of a place that once controlled the goods entering and leaving Austria-Hungary.

This area, annexed to Italy in 1916, is rich in history and captivates with its past linked to smuggling and the trade of charcoal to Venice. The remnants of the customs house continue to draw the attention of photographers and local history enthusiasts, offering a significant glimpse into the cultural heritage of the region.
