The GrandeMela of Sona transformed on November 17, 2024, into a hub of culture and solidarity. Within the shopping center, a ceremony was held to deliver over 3,000 books destined for local schools. This initiative, part of the project “Help Us Grow. Gift Us a Book” promoted by the Giunti al Punto bookstore chain, combined social commitment with the promotion of reading, emphasizing the importance of supporting new generations.

A Community Gathering

The event saw active participation from families, children, and teachers, creating a festive and engaging atmosphere. Local authorities, including Deputy Mayor Monia Cimichella and Cultural Councillor Paolo Bellotti, also attended. School principals Miriam Avila and Sabrina Di Lauro participated, along with Marco Cingottini, the director of the shopping center, who highlighted the initiative’s importance for the community.

A Nationally Resonant Project

The “Help Us Grow” project is not just a local event; this year it achieved extraordinary results at the national level, with over 342,000 books collected and distributed throughout Italy thanks to the support of more than 1,850 companies. The Giunti al Punto bookstore in the GrandeMela shopping center made a significant contribution with its 3,000 books, intended not only for schools but also for pediatric libraries, such as that of the Negrar hospital.

The Value of Reading

Marco Cingottini stated, “Supporting the donation of a book means collaboratively designing a path of growth and well-being for young people.” He emphasized how establishing a school library represents not only an achievable dream for students but also a forward-looking vision for the development of the younger generation.

Daniela Mori, area manager for Giunti al Punto, added, “Helping a child grow through reading means contributing to the development of a culture of social responsibility.” This approach not only enriches the educational experience of young people but also fosters greater cohesion with local communities.

A Concrete Commitment for the Future

During the ceremony, books were distributed to the children present, each of whom committed to reading the work received and returning it to their school library. This initiative represents an important step towards creating a more aware and passionate generation of readers in the future.
