From June 15 to 19, 2025, Lake Garda will host the second edition of the Summer School in “Luxury Tourism: Branding, Communication, Sustainability – New Challenges, New Frontiers.” This educational event, organized by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in collaboration with the OTG Research Center (Observatory for Tourism on Lake Garda) and the Terme di Sirmione Academy, aims to explore themes related to luxury tourism through a series of sessions held in various prestigious locations, including the Hotel Acquaviva del Garda, the Terme di Sirmione, Golf Bogliaco, and aboard a boat from the Navigazione Lago di Garda. Registrations are open until April 29, 2025.

A Meeting of Excellence

The initiative aims to train professionals in the tourism sector, addressing economic, cultural, and managerial aspects. Giovanni Gregorini, Director of the Department of Historical and Philological Sciences at the Università Cattolica and the OTG Research Center, emphasizes the importance of this event in the context of a growing industry. “Luxury hospitality in Italy saw a growth of 9.2% in 2024, and the forecasts for 2025 are equally promising,” states Gregorini, highlighting Lake Garda as a prime destination for high-end tourism.

Strategic Partnerships

Margherita De Angeli, General Director of Terme di Sirmione, underscored the importance of collaboration between the Academy and the University, highlighting how this synergy contributes to developing increasingly sought-after skills in the sector. “Quality training is essential for the recovery of professionalism in an ever-evolving industry,” declared De Angeli, emphasizing the joint commitment to enhance the competitiveness of Italian tourism.

A Comprehensive Educational Offering

The Summer School includes lectures delivered by highly qualified instructors, in both Italian and English, and features interactive sessions with practical exercises, round tables, and team-building activities. The meetings aim to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the competitive challenges in the tourism sector, involving university students, graduates, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals.

Practical Details

The event will take place from Sunday, June 15, to Thursday, June 19, 2025, with online registrations open until seats are filled. The participation fee is 600 euros, VAT included, and covers accommodation at the Hotel Acquaviva.

For more information and to register, please consult the official website of the Università Cattolica.

The Summer School represents an important opportunity for those looking to delve into the dynamics of luxury tourism within one of the most enchanting contexts in Italy.
