A thirty-year-old man has been arrested for nighttime thefts targeting restaurants and establishments in Brescia and Gavardo. The individual, who has a criminal record related to property crimes, was apprehended on May 12 while attempting to force open the door of the restaurant “Oste Sobrio.” Investigations conducted by the Carabinieri, the Mobile Squad, and the Carmine Police Station examined a series of thefts that occurred between December 16, 2024, and March 3, 2025, during which the perpetrator employed the same modus operandi, breaking windows to gain entry to the establishments.
Authorities estimate that the thefts yielded over 5,000 euros in equipment and cash, causing significant damage to various businesses such as “Dhabbu” and “Box.” The accusatory framework is based on technical evidence, witness testimonies, and video recordings. Despite the arrest, the presumption of innocence remains until a final verdict is reached, while investigations continue to explore potential accomplices or further liabilities in the context of the restaurant thefts in Brescia.
