The Abbey of Maguzzano, a charming and welcoming place, is preparing to host a series of meetings dedicated to therapeutic music. Under the guidance of Maestro Alberto Foresti, the project will commence next Saturday at 3:30 PM and will consist of four monthly meetings, aimed at exploring the regenerative potential of music for the body, mind, and spirit.

A Path of Reflection and Healing

Conceived by Don Michele, the Superior of the abbey, together with Professor Foresti, this path aims to demonstrate how music can serve as a tool for healing and human rebirth. The historical roots of this practice run deep: since ancient times, in both Native American and European cultures, music has been used as a means to enhance people’s well-being.

Today, despite the prevailing rational approach in contemporary society, an increasing number of studies highlight the therapeutic value of the interplay between music, medicine, and spirituality.

Music as a Bridge Between Life and Rebirth

During the meetings, fascinating themes related to music in human history will be explored. Discussions will include the psaltery depicted in ancient paintings associated with angels and biblical kings such as David and Solomon. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on prenatal experiences through the four fundamental elements.

Popular tradition has always viewed music as a bridge between pre-natal and post-natal life. Maternal melodies during pregnancy play a crucial role in the mother-child relationship; lullabies and paternal songs become expressions of love that accompany the most delicate moments of growth.

The Role of Maestro Foresti

Maestro Alberto Foresti brings a wealth of experience as a piano teacher at the Musical Lyceum of Bergamo. Through his lessons, he aims to demonstrate how playing the piano can represent an act of physical rebirth: the vibrations generated by the instrument directly engage the bodies of musicians who place their hands on the keyboard. This process allows them to experience profound emotions as they immerse themselves in the world of music.

With these premises, the meetings at the Abbey of Maguzzano promise not only a unique musical experience but also a significant opportunity to foster a human rebirth through the healing power of music.
