Recently, the Guide to Jubilee Churches was presented in Brenzone sul Garda, a project aimed at enhancing the spiritual and historical heritage of the area in anticipation of the Jubilee in 2025. The guide, a result of collaboration between the dioceses of Brescia, Mantova, Verona, and Trento, provides details on 18 Jubilee churches, including the notable Santuario di Montecastello in Tignale, one of the most evocative sacred sites in the region. Mariastella Gelmini, President of the Garda Community, emphasized the importance of this project in rediscovering the connections between faith and culture within the local context.
The guide will be available online in both Italian and English, representing a unique opportunity for residents and tourists to deepen their understanding of the Jubilee churches. Mattia Boschelli, the delegate for the Presidency of the Community for the Jubilee, highlighted how this initiative continues the previous efforts to promote spirituality in the broader Garda area. This moment is seen as a chance to rejuvenate the local religious tradition and to foster hospitality for those wishing to explore these significant places of worship.
