The Czech rider Tomáš Slavík has triumphed for the fifth consecutive time in the Maderno downhill competition, the Urban Downhill Mad of Lake, which took place last Sunday. With a record time of 2’31”445, Slavík dominated the course, which winds through staircases and natural obstacles in the picturesque village, starting from Montemaderno at an altitude of 318 meters and finishing in Piazza San Marco. The second place was secured by the German Lars Pfeifer, who finished with a time of 2’33”083, while the podium was completed by the South Tyrolean Jan Laner.
The event, organized by Garda Pro Bike in collaboration with the local municipality, saw the participation of over a hundred athletes. In the women’s category, victory went to the Czech rider Nela Viktorova with a time of 3’03”081. During the event, a wild card for the Genoa stage of the Red Bull Cerro Abajo was also awarded to the German Pfeifer, further solidifying the significance of the Mad of Lake in the international downhill circuit.
