Torbole Summer Fest Sees Resident and Tourist Success
The Nago-Torbole Manifestations Committee sums up, after the remat festival (traditional cuisine, games, music, and more in the Pavese park), a more than positive report card regarding participation from residents and tourists, even though it is still provisional (the program covers the entire year, including Christmas). In fact, as was the committee’s intention, for a few evenings, this has been the true square of the town.
This satisfaction is all the more gratifying considering it was the promotion group’s first time organizing a large-scale festival. And this despite having to fight against weather conditions that were anything but kind, to the extent that it was advised to recover the evenings lost by scheduling them for the following week.
In any case, it is a success that the committee already plans to repeat in the upcoming years. The festival, in fact, will rightfully become one of the regular summer events proposed by the committee. However, President Giuseppe Girardi is also aware that the success depended primarily on the large number of volunteers and associations who lent a hand during the six evenings.
He naturally thanks everyone, including the 50 sponsors (hoteliers and merchants) who contributed through their donations to raise the necessary funds to organize the festival.
He also extends gratitude to the Rivano Events Committee, which provided valuable support by lending some of its equipment, and the Dro Carnival Committee, which provided its large, well-equipped mobile kitchen, the Fire Brigade facilities, and all law enforcement agencies.
Ongoing summer activities and future plans
The other summer initiatives continue. At Villa Cian, the beach volleyball tournament is still underway. The Committee reminds that the tournament will conclude on Sunday, the 27th, with awards and a communal spaghetti dinner on the beach in front of Pavese, open to all (not just players).
The large Goodbye Summer youth festival is already in advanced preparation. This festival, mainly featuring music, will take place on September 8 directly on the Torbole beach.
