Torri del Benaco, Court Rules Against Pai Speed Camera: “It Was Not Approved” A ruling from the Verona Court has declared the speed camera installed in the district of Pai to be illegal, bringing an end to a dispute that has involved numerous motorists and the Municipality of Torri del Benaco. The device, operational since August 2022 and notorious for its hefty fines for speeding, was found to be non-compliant with the technical regulations required for its approval. This decision follows the acceptance of over a hundred appeals filed by drivers by the Justice of the Peace in Verona. Despite the unfavorable ruling, the municipal administration has decided to continue the legal battle, appealing previous judgments. However, if the Court were to uphold this latest decision in the Supreme Court, it is expected that the fines issued would be annulled and the possibility of seizing the device itself would arise.
