Torri del Benaco Cracks Down on Nudism With Five Fines at Brancolino Beach
Sanctions against nudism have been enforced in Torri del Benaco following a new municipal ordinance, with local police and Carabinieri identifying and fining five people on Sunday, July 19, 2026, on Brancolino beach. Each of the individuals—men and women—was issued an administrative penalty of €150 after being found without clothing.
The ordinance, signed by mayor Stefano Nicotra and in force since early July, bans nudity and naturism across the entire coastal area of the municipality, including beaches, piers, promenades and public or publicly accessible spaces, with the exception of female topless. The measure will remain in effect at least until September 21 and cites reports of alleged sexual behavior in areas visible to the public, deemed inappropriate particularly in places where families and minors are present.
