A 50-year-old man experienced moments of intense fear in Toscolano Maderno on the afternoon of Saturday, July 12, after suffering a severe anaphylactic shock due to an insect sting. The incident occurred while the man was in a car with a friend; shortly after 1 PM, he was stung and, in the grip of a violent allergic reaction, exited the vehicle and collapsed to the ground. His friend alerted emergency services, which responded quickly with an ambulance and a helicopter from Bergamo.
The resuscitation efforts carried out by the medical personnel proved crucial in helping the 50-year-old regain his ability to breathe. Given the seriousness of the situation, the man was transferred to the sports field in Toscolano to be airlifted by helicopter and subsequently admitted urgently to the Poliambulanza hospital in Brescia under a red code.
