On Sunday, June 15th, **Toscolano Maderno** hosted an important **environmental clean-up** initiative, promoted by **Plastic Free Onlus** in collaboration with Evergreen Brescia. Over thirty volunteers, including the youth from Fopas Anffas and members of the Risanatura project, came together to collect more than 2 kg of discarded cigarette butts along the shores. Coordinated by Fabio Venturelli, the provincial representative of Plastic Free, the participants demonstrated that even small actions can have a significant impact on the environment, helping to reduce one of the most hazardous types of waste for aquatic ecosystems.
The initiative continued in the afternoon with informational booths along the lakeside, aimed at raising awareness among citizens and tourists about the importance of protecting the planet. During the event, the Blue Flag 2025 was officially presented by the municipal administration, with the participation of Councilor Domenico Caldana. This day highlighted the value of collaboration among associations, institutions, and the community in safeguarding the local natural heritage.
